Understanding Sri Yantra

The Sri Yantra is of utmost importance used to balance and harmonize the energies in a given space. It is one of the ancient holy tools which forms the bridge between the worshipper and divinity. The Sri Yantra, also known as the Sri Chakra, is a complex sacred geometrical drawing revered in Hinduism, particularly in the Sri Vidya school of Tantra. It is considered one of the most powerful and auspicious of all yantras, representing the Divine Mother principle (Shakti) and the totality of the cosmos.

Dimensionality of Sri Yantra

The Sri Yantra is composed of nine interlocking triangles that surround a central point called the Bindu. These triangles are further enclosed by two concentric circles of lotus petals (eight petals in the inner circle and sixteen in the outer), and the entire configuration is framed by a square with four gates, known as the Bhupura. These 9 triangles further divide into 4 upward triangles depicting Shiva the masculine principle, embodying consciousness, static energy, and the unmanifest along with 5 downward triangles depicting Shakti the feminine principle, embodying dynamic energy, Creative power, and the manifest universe.

The interlocking of these triangles symbolizes the inseparable union of Shiva and Shakti, the fundamental duality that underlies all creation. Together, the nine triangles intersect to form 43 smaller triangles, which are organized into five concentric levels. These levels represent the different planes of existence and the various aspects of the Divine.

Inner circle (8 petals): These petals often symbolize the eight aspects of Prakriti (nature) or the eight psychic centers (chakras) in the human body.
Outer circle (16 petals): These petals typically represent the sixteen Kalas (phases) of the moon or the sixteen aspects of desire and fulfillment. Meditating on this intricate geometry is believed to harmonize inner and outer energies, leading to a deeper understanding of the self and the cosmos.

Sthapana and Pooja Vidhi

The final but the most crucial and fundamental step of the entire process is the Sri Yantra Sthapana and the Vaastu Shanti which is to be done after the entire construction process and we are proud to claim with dignity that we are the only ones currently in the practice of performing this holy ritual in accordance to the Vedic Granthas.

The Sri Yantra Sthapana is a beautiful amalgamation of Sri Lalita Devi Pooja, the Homa Havana, and Lalita Sahastranama Pushparchana performed by every individual family that offers your space the perfect harmony and tranquility.
